Downtown Master Plan Concept – Public Input Requested

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho, July 14, 2017 – On July 11 and 13, the City of Mountain Home Economic Development team hosted the Downtown Revitalization Master Plan Open House in order to ensure Mountain Home residents got an opportunity to share their ideas and have a direct impact on the way our town looks and feels.

The attached diagrams are a compilation of ideas from members of the community and do not represent a final plan.  They are the result of a conversation starter used to gather ideas from the citizens of Mountain Home to determine what they would like to see happen with our downtown.  At this point, nothing is off the table.  We will continue to accept comments and ideas through the middle of August.   Email us with your suggestions at

Starting August 14, our consultants with Horrocks will begin to compile the comments and ideas presented, evaluate their feasibility and cost effectiveness, and begin building the actual downtown master plan.  When the first draft of the master plan is complete, we will again present it to the community for input.

The city of Mountain Home thanks all those who have participated in our downtown planning and we encourage your continued involvement.  We cannot make meaningful change to downtown Mountain Home without your participation.  We look forward to your comments and suggestions.

Please complete the following short survey to help us better understand what you’d like to see happen downtown.
