Engine Company Visits

The Mountain Home Fire Department supports local schools, child-care facilities, businesses and community groups in your fire safety education efforts. We can have a Fire Engine stop at your location to assist with your planned activities. To schedule a visit contact us at Fire Station #1 at 587-2117 or visit us at 220 S. 2nd East. Our visits can be tailored to any age group and number of attendees. We will bring training material that enhances the learning experience.

Fire Station Tours

The Mountain Home Fire Department offers station tours to local area child care facilities, schools or community groups who are interested in learning about fire prevention and safety. In order to schedule tours of the fire station please call Fire Station #1 at 587-2117 or visit us at 220 S. 2nd East and we will work with your organization to coordinate a time for a tour of our facility and to speak with a firefighter. An adequate number of chaperones must be present during the tour to quickly clear children from the fire engine/truck and bays should there be an emergency call.

Fire Extinguisher Training

The Mountain Home Fire Department offers classes on the use of fire extinguishers in the home or in the work place. We can come to your work place or group meeting or you can come to Fire Station 1 for this training. There are two (2) training options available. The first option is free and includes a 1 hour classroom style presentation with power point, video and lecture presentations. The second option is a hands-on lesson. This lesson includes the classroom portion and also includes the actual use of a fire extinguisher on a training prop. There is a small cost for this to cover the cost of the material and is usually about $5-$6 per person. If you are interested in scheduling this training contact Marshal Reed at 208.587.2117 or visit Fire Station 1 at 220 S 2nd E.
