A Public Hearing will be held on November 18, 2019 at 6 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 160 South 3rd East Street, Mountain Home, Idaho, before the Mountain Home Planning and Zoning Commission. This hearing is to obtain citizen input on a request by Weitz and Company, Inc., to Annexation and Zone as I-1 property North of West 5th North Street, between Elmcrest and North Haskett, west of North Haskett Street and North Sawmill Road, and west and north of the City Landfill, several parcels of land containing approximately 400 acres to be utilized as Railway Industrial Park. The Idaho chapter of the American Planning Association recently recognized the City of Mountain Home, Horrocks Engineers, Inc., Mountain Home Urban Renewal Agency and Idaho Transportation Department for their collaboration on the City’s downtown revitalization plan. Representatives from the various entities accepted the 2019 Idaho APA Outstanding Plan Award during an Oct. 3 ceremony in Boise.
